Loyola (Md.) Defeats Manhattan 82-67
NEW YORK (AP) -- J'hared Hall scored a career-high 23 points to lead Loyola (Md.) past Manhattan 82-67 on Friday night.
The Greyhounds (6-8, 2-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) were led by Hall's 17 first-half points — eclipsing his previous career high of 16 — but still trailed 38-32 at halftime.
Loyola regained the lead on a 7-0 run midway through the second half and extended its lead with a 16-2 run over the final five minutes.
Hall, who had made only three 3-pointers all season on 13 percent shooting from beyond the arc (3 for 23), went 6 of 8 from 3-point range. The Greyhounds made 12 of 23 3-point attempts (52.2 percent).
The loss for the Jaspers (2-12, 0-4) was their 12th straight — three behind the longest losing streak in school history (15), which took place over three seasons from 1919 to 1922.
Rhemal Brown led Manhattan with 20 points, while George Beamon added 15.
