Louisiana Tech Tops Navy 80-65
IRVINE, Calif. (AP) -- DeAndre Brown scored 15 points, all in the first half, as Louisiana Tech defeated Navy 80-65 Saturday night in a subregional game of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches Vs. Cancer.
Brown made 5 of 6 3-point shots in the opening half, but missed all seven of his tries after intermission. Olu Ashaolu added 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds while Kenyon McNeaill also scored 12 points and had eight assists for the Bulldogs (4-1).
Brandon Gibson had 11 points and six rebounds while Darius Redding added 10 points for Louisiana Tech.
Jordan Sugars led Navy (1-4) with 11 points while Mark Veazey and J.J. Avila scored 10 each. Veazey pulled down seven rebounds.
