Lightning Strike Triggers Fire At Fort Meade
FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) -- Army officials say two houses were destroyed and two others were damaged when a lightning strike triggered a fire at the installation.
Fort Meade Fire and Emergency teams say the blaze was reported about 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Lightning struck the roof of one of the home.
The Capital of Annapolis reports that many residents were evacuated. The two-alarm fire left two families homeless.
No one was injured.
