Life-Sized Stuffed Goat Stolen At Navy Game
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A life-sized stuffed goat that has been a fixture at U.S. Naval Academy football games has been stolen.
The stolen stuffed goat was owned by Navy graduate Ronald Carlberg, a retired Air Force colonel.
Carlberg says he's been bringing his stuffed goat to tailgate parties and Navy games for years.
The goat, which wore a blue Navy scarf, was taken from his car during Saturday's matchup between Navy and Indiana.
Carlberg says he put the goat inside his Jeep but forgot to roll up his front passenger window. When he returned after the game he found it was gone and reported the theft to the Annapolis police.
The Alexandria, Va., resident says the goat is worth several hundred dollars.
The Naval Academy's mascot is a live goat named Bill.
