Lehigh Defeats Navy 87-72
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Michael Ojo had 23 points and 11 rebounds and Lehigh never trailed in an 87-72 victory over Navy Wednesday night.
The Mountain Hawks (13-11, 4-5 Patriot League) swept the Midshipmen (8-17, 3-6) for the first time since 2006, beating them outside and inside. Lehigh outrebounded Navy 49-25 and made 10 of 20 shots from 3-point range as Navy lost its second in a row.
C.J. McCollum added 20 points for the Mountain Hawks, his ninth consecutive game scoring at least that many, and he missed his fifth consecutive double-double by one rebound. Ojo got his first career double-double.
Navy, which was led by J.J. Avila's 22 points, made it close after trailing by 14 early in the second half. The Midshipmen pulled to within one at 60-59 with 11:25 left. But the Mountain Hawks answered with a 15-1 run to make it 75-60 with 7:24 to go, and Navy got no closer than 12 thereafter.
