Laser Light Show Spectacular Illuminates The Inner Harbor
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Whether they're on your Christmas tree, strung along the house or decorating store windows, this is the season for lights.
Thursday night begins a series of laser light shows at the Inner Harbor's Power Plant.
Pat Warren reports--it's spectacular.
Start like this, and with the flip of a switch, you have holiday lights. Push another button, and all of a sudden, it's snowing. And that calls for what else but a nice, cozy fire--all of the elements for the Power Plant Holiday Light Show Spectacular.
"It's pretty tremendous," said Joe Suehle, Image Engineering. "We start thinking about it over the summer and start trying to figure out what are some neat things we can try to incorporate into the light show and to make it something special and new from things that people have seen before."
We watched the artistry of a Christmas tree made of lasers--with a personal touch thrown in on the side. It's the product of Image Engineering in South Baltimore.
The studio design work is an orchestration of music and lights that will projected on the walls of the Power Plant.
"It takes about a week and a half to set it all up and to focus it, get it all dialed in exactly right so when you come see the show, it's perfect," Suehle said.
The shows start Thursday night with multiple shows every night through New Year's Eve.
"It's really a cool thing to have right in the Inner Harbor with all this other stuff going on around the Inner Harbor that makes it just a really holiday festive place to be," said Suehle.
Whether you are saying goodbye to the old year or ringing in the new, it's worth the trip to see the lights fantastic.
