Kolbe's Recap 06-07-13
The LA Kings had their incredible home winning streak come to an end last night as the Blackhawks took a commanding 3-1 lead in the series with a 3-2 win over the Kings. It was LA's first loss at the staples Center since March 23RD. The Kings only registered 21 shots on goal including just 2 in the final period. Bryan Bickell continued his amazing postseason for the Blackhawks scoring his 8th goal of the playoffs, he had 9 in the entire regular season. Game 5 and Chicago's chance to head to the Stanley Cup Finals takes place on Saturday night.
On Tap for Tonight:
The Penguins will try to avoid something they haven't done in 34 years, getting swept in the playoffs. Pittsburgh might have played their best game in the series in Game 3 but still came away with a 2-1 double OT loss in Boston. Only 3 times has a team lost a series after taking a 3-0 lead in NHL history, unfortunately for Boston fans it happened to them back in 2010.
