Kolbe's Recap 05-28-13

Since the last we talked to you the Eastern Conference Finals has been set. The Pittsburgh Penguins will take on the Boston Bruins in a battle of Eastern powerhouse teams. The series however will have to wait to begin until the Western Conference Final is set, as both Semi-Finals series are still going.

Last night the Chicago Blackhawks clung to their playoff lives and won game 6 in Detroit. Michael Frolik became the first player in NHL history with 2 playoff penalty shot goals. Chicago now gets the decisive game 7 at home on Wednesday at 8pm.

On Tap for Tonight:

Tonight the San Jose Sharks head to LA to take on the Kings in a game 7 at 8pm. The home teams have won every game in this series, and these 2 teams are both undefeated at home throughout the playoffs. Jonathan Quick and Antti Niemi have both been stellar at home in this series and their first round series. For the Kings they'll need their big stars of Jeff Carter, Anze Kopitar, and Mike Richards to bring their A games while also getting secondary scoring. For the Sharks they need to find a way to solve Jonathan Quick in Hollywood, which is no easy task.
