Ken Weinman: No More Training Camp In Westminster
Nothing is final yet, but it looks like the days of the Baltimore Ravens spending summers in Westminster are over.
Reports are that the Ravens will decide to keep their training camp at their facility in Owings Mills. I saw this coming a mile away when they kept it there after the lockout this season. It's a shame because training camp was an opportunity for fans to get an up close look at their favorite players.
The Ravens will hold a couple of practices at M & T Bank Stadium that will be open to the public, but that won't be the same. Thousands of fans flocked to Westminster every year hoping for autographs but more to see Ray Rice, Joe Flacco, Ray Lewis, or Ed Reed up close. That now looks to be over.
