Kathy Szeliga Wins Republican Nomination For Md.'s U.S. Senate Seat
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Kathy Szeliga has won the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat in Maryland that's being vacated by retiring Sen. Barbara A. Mikulski after her three decades in office.
Szeliga will go on to face the Democratic nominee Chris Van Hollen in November's general election.

Szeliga has been member of Maryland's House of Delegates since January 2011 and Minority Whip since 2013. She represents District 7, which includes parts of Baltimore County and Harford County.
Szeliga was running in a crowded field of fellow Republicans, including Chris Chaffee and Chrys Kefalas.
