'Kane Show' Host Arrested For Alleged Attack On Wife
BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) -- Radio personality Peter "Kane" Deibler, who hosts the eponymous morning show "The Kane Show," was arrested for second-degree assault Friday following allegations he attacked his estranged wife, The Washington Post reports.
A judge granted a temporary protective order Monday stemming from the alleged attack, which online court records show happened last month. Under the court order, Deibler, 39, is forbidden from contacting his wife, entering the home they used to share and going near her workplace.
In her petition for the protective order, Deibler's wife reports the couple's two children were present on May 25 when her husband "grabbed her and threw her into a wall" in an assault "resulting in a sprained knee, head injury, bruises and a black eye," according to the Post.
The next day, court records show, a warrant was issued for Deibler's arrest. It was served on June 17 and Deibler was released the same day after posting bond.
The Post reports the Deiblers have been going through an acrimonious divorce, which has at times become fodder for Deibler's nationally syndicated radio show, which he hosts from HOT 99.5FM in Rockville, and his spouse's personal blog.
