Jury Finds For Police Officer In Taser Death

BALTIMORE (AP) -- A federal jury has ruled that a Baltimore County police officer did not use unreasonable force in using a Taser on a man who died during an effort to subdue him during an arrest.

The Daily Record reports that the jury ruled Friday in a $10 million lawsuit filed by the family of Ryan Meyers. Meyers, 40, was hit by a Taser 10 times after police were called to his Middle River home in 2007 during a domestic dispute.

Police had said Meyers had refused officers' orders to drop a baseball bat he was carrying.
