Jury Convicts DC Man In Md. Armored Truck Robbery
GREENBELT, Md. (AP) -- A federal jury has convicted a D.C. man in an armored truck robbery and a violent carjacking in Montgomery County.
Twenty-five-year-old Anthony Terrell Cannon was found guilty late Friday of robbery, carjacking, and firing a gun during a violent crime, among other charges.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says Cannon faces up to life in prison when he's sentenced Dec. 1.
Cannon's attorney, Chris Davis, didn't immediately return a call for comment Monday.
Two other men in the case avoided jury trials and pleaded guilty to in the October 2012 case in Takoma Park.
Plea agreements say the three men robbed an armored truck driver at gunpoint and exchanged gunfire with him before they carjacked another man and shooting him in the head and the arm.
