Jimmy Patsos Breaks Down Loyola's Season
Univeristy of Loyola's basketball head coach Jimmy Patsos joins The Scott Garceau Show with Jeremy Conn and breaks down Loyola's season.
Jimmy talks about the potential of a number sixteen seed beating a number one seed in this years NCAA tournament. He touches on how the small schools are now able to bring in big talent when they can offer then starting spots right away, and not waiting. He talks about the Terps and how some of the kids are hard to read. He thinks Turgeon has done a good job but he's been surprised at some of their games.
Patsos also give his take on the exposure of playing on a national platform as a small name school. He says "anybody can beat anybody" now. He knows that the exposure is good for the school and says "what's good for the school is good for everybody."
He says that fans want instant gratification. Maryland Basketball has the recruits that makes the fans want more out of them. In Patsos' opinion the Terps are alright. They'll be fine but they are going to have to fight their way into the NCAA Tournament.
Loyola plays Iona tonight on ESPN2.
