Jimmy Buffett Spotted At Maryland's Chesapeake Inn
CHESAPEAKE CITY, Md. (WJZ) -- "Margaritaville" singer Jimmy Buffett was spotted in Maryland over the weekend.
Chesapeake Inn Restaurant and Marina in Cecil County posted photos of the American singer-songwriter getting off his teal boat for a bite at the popular bayside eatery and bar.
The Chesapeake City restaurant posted, "We had the extreme honor of hosting the legend Jimmy Buffett and awesome crew at our location this weekend."
According to Buffett's Instagram story, he also spent Sunday in Havre de Grace.
Owner Gianmarco Martuscelli said they knew that Buffett's boat would be docked in their marina and it was a great experience for the restaurant's staff.
"It was a good time," Martuscelli said.
He said Buffett was kind to the employees and that the restaurant took every COVID precaution to keep the singer and his crew safe.
The singer and his crew stayed on their boat, but wanted to dine on some local Maryland seafood, so they were served crab bisque, crab claws and salad, lobster and sushi.
Although some nearby residents said they heard Jimmy playing, the owner said it was actually a Spotify playlist.
Buffett loved the bisque so much, he took some more with him when he left Monday morning.
What's your favorite Buffett song?
