Jerry Coleman: Tiger Talks His Game
Returning to Congressional might just be the spark Tiger Woods requires to get his game back. He won at this course in 2009 but a lot has changed for Tiger Woods since his victory three years ago in Maryland. He still is competitive as ever and has the same expectations. That is to win.
Tiger claims that he has "been through a process like this", with his struggles. He is ready for the challenge because it is a great test for him before the Open Championship at St. Annes, England in a month.
Woods' two victories this year - at Bay Hill and Muirfield Village - is a huge part of the progression for him. The forecast for Congressional means that it should play in the hands of Wood's game which is firm and fast. He would really like to have the scoring be lower this year as opposed to last year's U.S. Open. He said "Below 16 under?"
Woods gave a smile and said, "as long as I'm that person, yes."
