Jerry Coleman: Taking Down Tennessee
Ravens throttled Titans 21-7 and have won 10-straight home games in November, the NFL's longest such streak but it was a slow start for their defense. The Titans controlled the game early having the ball for the majority of the first quarter, and took of nearly 13 minutes with the first two drives. As time went on both the offense and defense jelled resulting in a tough hard fought victory. Despite the Titans being 4-4 on 3rd down until late in the second quarter, they would go 0-8 the rest of the game.
"Just give them credit. They had an extra week to prepare for us. They did a good job in the first two series. We were just able to settle in. Our crowd was fantastic, and our guys started making plays in the back end, allowing us to get some rushes and kind of get the game going," Dumervil said.

If it was not for Justin Forsett, the outcome might have been different. John Harbaugh would allow an opportunity for Forsett would reach the end zone on a 4th down play, as far as the line of the reasoning for the coach, "The thinking was it was a fourth-and-1. We wanted to be aggressive there. We feel like we have a good chance to convert that."

That certainly was a momentum boost for the Ravens and was just the start of Forsett's day. He would compile 112 total rushing yards, to go with his pair of TD's. Forsett has 609 rushing yards on the season the last time he had over 600 yards in a season was in 2009. In addition to career best 5 TDs. "I feel like the sky's the limit. We've still got a couple more games left. We still can improve in some areas. I know I can improve in some areas. I just want to push this thing as far as I can go," Forsett said.

Earlier in the week a lot was made about how the secondary would preform without Jimmy Smith. Despite being depleted, Terrence Brooks and Anthony Levine were called upon to step in to fill that void of J. Smith. Brooks delivered a vital hit on Titans leading wide out Delaine Walker that would knock him out, after suffering a concussion. That caused the Titans to put more heat on rookie QB Zach Mettenberger.
The pressure was too much as the Ravens sacked him five times and hit him countless others. The Purple and Black improve to 6-4 on the season but are still in last place in the AFC North even with the victory. Now they head into the bye, before going to New Orleans to play a pivotal game against the Saints.

Key Notes
Rookie DT Timmy Jernigan notched the first sack of his career, also finishing the game with a career- high 4 total tackles.
The Ravens' defense hasn't allowed a 100-yard rusher in 20-straight games, producing the NFL's longest active streak. (Tennessee's Bishop Sankey finished with 58 yards on 17 carries in the game.)
WR Torrey Smith has 5 TDs in the past five games, for 270 yards and a team-best 6 total this season.
