Jeremy Conn: Top 5 Favorite Players In The Draft
As we near the first round of the NFL Draft, here are five of my favorite players in the draft right now. Will the Ravens select any of them? Perhaps. We'll have to wait until the sixth pick rolls around tonight.
- Jalen Ramsey CB Florida St - He's the best player in the draft in my opinion. Tall and long at the corner-back position. In this offensive era, you need guys on the outside who can lock down on the best receiver on the opposing team. He reminds me a lot of Patrick Peterson, he needs to add some bulk to his frame, but he can clearly do that.
- Ezekiel Elliott RB Ohio St - This guy can absolutely do it all. I think he is the best running back prospect to enter the NFL Draft since Adrian Peterson. Great vision and awareness. He can be a receiver out of the backfield, run and block. He is an every-down back.
- Tyler Boyd WR Pitt - Good route runner, with above average speed and a great burst when he comes out of his breaks. He gets a quick release of the line of scrimmage and has a knack for making big plays on third downs. He has great hands and can play special teams.
- Kenneth Dixon RB La Tech - Another solid running back with great vision. He is not as explosive as some backs, but he has great awareness for down and distance. He is a solid blocker. He was a durable work horse and a 4-year starter.
- Devontae Booker RB Utah - This guy carried the Utes this year. He was the best player on the field every time he stepped on the field. He is fantastic at breaking tackles and has a knack of finding the end zone in goal line situations. He doesn't have excellent break away speed, but I love his intangibles.
