Jeremy Conn: Tom Brady's Appeal
Tom Brady had his appeal today and now we will all await the decision from Roger Goodell. I have said all along that I believe his suspension will be reduced by 1 or 2 games.
The Patriots will play a nationally televised game in week 4 against the Cowboys and it makes sense for the league to have him available for that game.
There was a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, that stated if Tom Brady says the same thing to Roger Goodell that he said to Ted Wells, then the suspension will stand.
He needs to convince Goodell that he is innocent or that the punishment is too harsh.
Could he offer up his phone records now? Maybe. But, Goodell could deem it too late and deny his appeal. Tom Brady will be testifying under oath, so it will be interesting to see how things will play out.
We may not have an answer for a few weeks from Goodell, so we will have to wait and see.
