Jeremy Conn: An NFL Team In London?
I absolutely hate the idea of a team in London. It doesn't make sense on any level, but it does make cents on every level. See what I did there?
Geographically, how do you make this work? Every time a team goes to London, you will have to give them a bye week afterwards. How would a balanced schedule work? What happens when Seattle or California teams have to travel to London or Vice Versa? There isn't a fair way to do the schedule.
The NFL is trying to milk every single dollar they can get out of Joe Public and the best way to do that is to move into a whole new market. The story that came out today said there will be an NFL Team in London within the next 6 years. Make no mistake about it, the travel does affect the play on the field.
Will free agents want to go to London to play for them? In the end, the almighty dollar will decide whats best for the league, but i think its a horrible idea.
