Jaysson Sanchez Charged In Alleged Sexual Assault Of Minor; Police Say There May Be More Victims
REISTERSTOWN, Md. (WJZ) -- A 24-year-old Reisterstown man faces multiple charges after police said he sexually assaulted a teenage girl.
Jaysson David Sanchez is being held without bail on charges of second-degree assault, third-degree sex offense and fourth-degree sex offense. Police said he sexually assaulted the teen and solicited other girls via Instagram.
Detectives haven't released a timeline of the alleged assault but believe Sanchez used the victim to then lure more underage girls.
"He is making his way to one girl and is using that girl to get in touch with her friends so that he can solicit them for sex," Baltimore County Police Department spokesperson Ofc. Jen Peach said.
Officials are asking any other victims to call police. They said Sanchez may have used not only the internet but also frequented areas where he would be likely to meet teenage girls.
"It's really concerning because there's a lot of young girls that are using Instagram," Baltimore County resident Devon Bearden said. "It's very predatory."
Police have also released a photo of Sanchez's car -- a red Scion -- hoping it will help them find other potential victims.
"We know that he hangs out in areas where he is likely to run into younger ladies mostly," Peach said. "He seems to be looking for underage girls."
Anyone with information should call police at 410-307-2020.
