J. Michael Of Comcast Sportsnet On Kevin Durant Choosing Golden State In Free Agency
J. Michael is the Wizards and NBA insider for Comcast Sportsnet Mid-Atlantic.
J. Michael joined Ed and Steve to talk about Kevin Durant deciding to sign with the Golden State Warriors and why the Wizards couldn't even get an interview with the hometown kid.
J. Michael started off by talking about if he is surprised Durant went to Golden State saying "I'm not surprised that he left Oklahoma City I've been telling people for a few years he wanted to leave Oklahoma City...there's just not a lot to do there." When asked if he had an issue with Durant choosing the Warriors J. Michael said "I don't have an issue, but I don't think it's a good look for him...I thought if he left he would go to Boston because it wasn't a ready made championship team."
As for the Wizards and whether or not they were ever truly in on Kevin Durant J. Michael said "they tried for two years court him...he just doesn't want to be at home, he likes visiting but like some people he likes to keep his professional and personal life separate." J. Michael also talked about other places Durant could've landed including New York and Los Angeles.
