Longtime 'It's Academic' Host Mac McGarry Dies At 87
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A local TV icon has passed away.
Mac McGarry, the longtime host of quiz show "It's Academic," has died.
He was 87.
"It's Academic," which airs right here on WJZ-TV, first debuted in October 1961.
The Saturday morning program is the longest running television quiz show in the world.
