Italy, Maryland To Renew Education Partnership
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Maryland's superintendent of schools will be in Washington to renew an Italian education partnership.
Interim Superintendent Bernard Sadusky plans to sign the memorandum Tuesday at the Italian embassy. The agreement renews a 2005 pact signed between Maryland and Italy that provides resources to Maryland schools and expands professional development for teachers.
Two Italian regions also are expected to sign a new partnership agreement with Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
