Inmate Stabbed At MCI-Hagerstown; Suspect Held
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Officials say an inmate at the Maryland Correctional Institution-Hagerstown has been stabbed.
It happened Wednesday when prisoners were being let out of their cells at the medium-security facility for lunch.
The inmate was taken to Meritus Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Officials say the weapon has been found, and a suspect, who is serving time for second-degree murder, has been identified.
The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports that the suspect is being held in administrative segregation.
