I-68 In Western Md. Closed Because Of Fire, Spill
McHENRY, Md. (AP) -- State police say the eastbound lanes of Interstate 68 in far western Maryland are closed because of a vehicle fire and hazardous-materials spill.
The closure occurred around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday, about 6 miles from the West Virginia border. Police say they don't know when the road will reopen. Traffic is being detoured through a rest area.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire and spill.
