Husband Of 42 Years Surprises Wife With BSO Serenade
CATONSVILLE, Md. (WJZ)—A surprise serenade. Thanks to the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and a loving husband, one lucky woman received a private concert.

The big serenade was planned by a husband for his wife of 42 years.
"It's a great surprise, and I think she'll enjoy the whole experience," said Dan Arnheim, BSO Valentine's Day winner.
Competing against 50 other applicants, Arnheim won the BSO's Valentine Competition to have crooner Tony Desare sing for his wife Bobbie.
"Bobbie's the glue to the family and keeps everybody together and has always been somebody who cares for somebody else," Arnheim said.
Surprised at work, the mental health professional had no idea what her husband was up to.
"He's a great guy. I'm lucky. I'm very lucky," she said.
And the musicians didn't need any convincing to help out.
"When I saw Dan's story about Bobbie I said 'Yeah, let's do it,'" Desare said.
The BSO says they chose the Arnheims because of their romantic 42-year love story and Bobbie's dedication to the mental health industry--proving there's still lots of romance left after more than four decades of marriage.
Desare will be performing with the BSO through Sunday at the Strathmore and the Meyerhoff.
