Hundreds 'Rock The Dock' With The Holidays Right Around The Corner
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A little rain and sleet doesn't stop people from getting in the holiday spirit.
Monique Griego reports more than 1,000 families headed downtown for the Power Plant's "Rock the Dock."
A different kind of dance party took over the Power Plant this Saturday. Not even a little bad weather kept hundreds of families from heading downtown for the third annual "Rock the Dock."
"I was told by other families how incredible this was. It may be raining, snowing and sleeting, but why not?" said Leann Ratnow.
"It was rain or shine. Unfortunately, we couldn't have our trackless train ride today. But other than that, everything's gone on as planned," organizer Beth Lavernick said.
The event has everything a kid could want in a winter wonderland, from face painting to Christmas treats they can decorate themselves. And, of course, there's a lot of crafts and coloring.
"Great chance for the kids to have an awesome time right before Christmas with a little bit of cold and snow," Beth Thompson said.
"The kids love it. They enjoy the jumping around, being crazy, watching the music," Roy Longanecker said.
Outside, the Inner Harbor put on an awesome light show. The best part may have been everything, including free pictures with Santa, making it a great way to start the holiday.
The event is sponsored by all of the tenants that make up the Power Plant.
