Hundreds Of Thousands Lack Power In Mid-Atlantic
WASHINGTON (AP) -- More than two days after storms pummeled the mid-Atlantic region, hundreds of thousands of people are still in the dark.
At 7:30 a.m. Monday, Pepco was reporting on its website that more than 233,000 customers were without power. Most of the outages were in Montgomery County.
In northern Virginia, Dominion Power was reporting about 165,000 customers were without power.
Meanwhile, Baltimore Gas and Electric said on its website that 236,000 still lacked power. About 70,000 of those outages were in Baltimore.
