Howard County Man Arrested For Breaking Into ATMs

HOWARD COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- Howard County Police charged a Laurel man in connection with multiple ATMs that were intentionally damaged.

Scott Joseph Costa, 26, was charged with three counts of attempted theft, and on multiple accounts of destruction of property.

Surveillance footage shows a suspect trying to pry open ATMs (Automated Teller Machines) in Jessup, Elkridge and Columbia all on the same day, November 21.

Police posted photos of the suspect on Facebook and Twitter, and he was identified and arrested at his home.

Costa posted a $15,000 bond and has since been released from the Howard County Detention Center.
