Hopkins Hospital To Lay Off 160 Clerical Workers

BALTIMORE (AP) -- The Johns Hopkins Hospital says some 160 clerical associates will lose their jobs as it makes the  transition to an electronic medical support system. A spokesman for the hospital says those workers might find new jobs within the hospital, including the new clinical building. The hospital has been offering paid training for clerical associates in December.

The work affected includes patient records and order entry.
