Hogan To Be Elected Chairman Of National Governors Association
SALT LAKE CITY (WJZ) -- Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan was officially elected the chairman of the National Governors Association Friday afternoon.
In his first act as chair, the governor launched a yearlong initiative to fix America's infrastructure.
The governor's office said Hogan will be the first Maryland governor to serve as chair since 2000.
Hogan had been serving as the group's vice chair. He replaces Montana Gov. Steve Bullock.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo will serve as the new vice chair.
