Heavy Winds Blow Snow Around On Eastern Shore
SNOW HILL, Md. (AP) -- State highway officials are warning motorists to use caution on the Eastern Shore, which got the worst of a snowstorm that moved through the state.
State Highway Administration spokesman Charles Gischlar said Monday while it has stopped snowing, winds are blowing snow around on the roads.
Gischlar says Wicomico and Worcester counties still have some snowy roads, including parts of Route 50. But he says road crews were making steady progress under sunny skies. Gischlar says there do not appear to be any major traffic problems.
Gischlar says more than 10 inches of snow were reported at a highway maintenance facility in Snow Hill in Worcester County.
