Haitian Man Convicted Of Sex Assaults Deported
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Immigration officials say a Haitian national convicted of two sexual assaults in Salisbury has been deported.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says Joel Monfort, 53, was flown to Haiti on Tuesday and turned over to law enforcement there.
ICE says in 2001, Monfort was convicted of second-degree assault and sex offense in Salisbury and sentenced to a year in jail. Authorities say in 2004, he was convicted of sexually assaulting a patient at a hospital in Salisbury, where he worked as a nursing assistant.
