Hagerstown Man Pleads Guilty In Child's Death
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Hagerstown man faces up to 65 years in prison after pleading guilty to fatally abusing his girlfriend's 2-year-old son.
The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports Brian Miller, 34, entered the plea Tuesday in Washington County Circuit Court. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree child abuse.
In return for his plea, prosecutors dropped other charges including first-degree murder. The charges stemmed from the death of Logan Sellers last October.
Investigators say the boy hit his head when Miller pushed him to the floor of the home they shared. An autopsy concluded he died of traumatic brain injury.
Logan told police he was angry because the boy had trashed a bedroom. No sentencing date was set.
