Hagerstown Dentist Charged With Distribution Of Oxycodone
BALTIMORE (AP) -- A dentist who owns a practice in Hagerstown has been indicted on charges of distributing oxycodone and enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity.
Vaqar Ahmad Choudry, 42, of Germantown was indicted Thursday. He was ordered detained at a hearing in federal court in Baltimore.
According to the indictment, Choudry, who owns Hagerstown Dental Center, asked a confidential source to find him a prepubescent girl with whom he could have sex. Prosecutors say Choudry gave the source a prescription for pain medication in exchange for the source arranging a meeting with a minor female.
Authorities say Choudry was arrested Sept. 12 when he arrived at a Hagerstown motel to meet with the fictional girl.
