Groundbreaking Held For Owings Mills Development
OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) -- Baltimore County is touting the start of construction on a library and community college facility in Owings Mills.
The $30 million building is going to house the largest branch of the Baltimore County Public Library and a new center for the Community College of Baltimore County. Officials say that building is expected to be completed by the winter of 2013.
County Executive Kevin Kamenetz at Thursday's groundbreaking credited county employees and former executives for keeping the long-delayed project alive. The construction of the center for the library and community college is designed to spark a billion-dollar project that will include homes, stores and offices.
