Grand Jury Indicts Teen Over Md. House Fire
MYERSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- A Frederick County grand jury has indicted an 18-year-old man who police say set fire to a friend's Myersville home over a botched drug deal.
The Frederick News-Post reports State's Attorney Charlie Smith says the grand jury indicted Joshua Moore for six crimes including arson and malicious burning.
Authorities were called to a home in the 10300-block of Clark Road on Dec. 30 after the tires on two vehicles had been slashed. A few hours later, several people called to report the house was on fire. Damage was estimated at $250,000.
Authorities say Moore was in a dispute over a marijuana deal with one of the home's occupants.
A telephone message left Saturday evening for an attorney listed for Moore in court records was not immediately returned.
