Gov. O'Malley To Host Principals For Breakfast
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley wants school principals to make breakfast a priority for their students.
The Democratic governor is scheduled to host school principals for a breakfast in the Statehouse Wednesday morning.
O'Malley will talk to school administrators about how to make school breakfast programs more accessible to their students.
He is also expected to announce the expansion of a program to deliver school breakfast during instruction time.
The program, First Class Breakfast Initiative, which is led by the Partnership to End Childhood Hunger in Maryland, provided funding and assistance to 20 Maryland schools last year.
