Gov. O'Malley Planning Trade Mission To India
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley's administration is planning an economic development trip to India.
The governor talked about visiting India on Tuesday after an event focusing on a public-private partnership to boost job skill opportunities in Maryland.
Takirra Winfield, a spokeswoman for the governor, says the trip is still a work in progress, and it's unclear when it would take place.
O'Malley led a trip to Asia earlier this year, including the nations of China, South Korea and Vietnam. At a news conference after he returned in June, O'Malley mentioned India as another country he would like to visit to tout Maryland as a good place for countries to set up businesses.
