Gov. O'Malley Announces Nomination To Metro Board
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Gov. Martin O'Malley says he will nominate former Maryland Rep. Michael Barnes to Metro's board of directors.
O'Malley announced Thursday he is nominating Barnes to represent Montgomery County on the board. He will fill the seat of Peter Benjamin, who has completed his term.
Barnes is a senior fellow at the Center for International Policy. He represented Maryland's 8th Congressional district from 1978 through 1987.
