Glenn Younes: Tiger- 2012 US Open
Round 1 of the 2012 US Open went well for Tiger Woods. He looked confident in his abilities but more importantly in his swing. He hit his spots, stayed steady, kept safe and in play. A 1 under par 69 may not jump off the page but rest assured that's a very good opening round at a very tough Olympic Club in San Fran. Tigers' 69 is even more impressive considering who his playing partners were.
Long time rival Phil Mickelson & this years Masters winner Bubba Waston. Phil got off to an awful start, finished his round 6 over and Bubba even worse with his 8 over 78. With the two others around him and thousands following in the gallery Tiger showed that mental focus we've seen so many times before. It's just 1 of 4 rounds so I'll not get carried away but this guy continues to look more and more like the Tiger of old. If he keeps this up our 2012 National Championship may be number 15 for Tiger.
