Glenn Younes: Ravens Sweet 16
I'll keep this short and sweet, just like an NFL season. A short sweet 16 games, an amount small enough where games can't be given away. Once again the Baltimore Ravens gave away a game and did it on the road to a lesser team that happens to run a 4-3 defense. Make of that what you will but I do know this: 12 rushing plays total that include 2 QB runs along with one reverse and one end around is not enough.
Back to my point, each week is so precious and in a league that pushes parity a team like the Ravens can't get caught up in the shuffle of the 25 other teams in the league. Baltimore should be a top 5 or worst case top 7 team in the league. Problem is I can't rank them that high with losses on the road to Jacksonville, Seattle and Tennessee. Elite teams can travel, elite teams are somewhat balanced, elite teams dominate lesser teams and do it consistently. The Ravens have yet to show the characteristics of an elite team. From coaches on down, elite is a term I want to use for them but it's a term reserved for those that act as such. Ravens still got work to do.
