Glenn Younes: Baltimore Blind Faith
It's a funny feeling for a guy like me to have blind faith in something for little more than a gut feeling but I do. I have blind faith in the Baltimore Ravens this weekend, if for no other reason than I want them to win.
That is indeed blind faith. I'll try to quantify the feeling with something concrete like; transition week is over, Giants coming off a 34-0 loss (could go both ways) and Baltimore's back are against the wall. I'm hoping that's a simple key to victory. Jim Caldwell got last week out of him, as did Flacco, the WR's and the O-Line. This past week was a total juggling act and balls were dropped.
This week prepping for the Giants had to feel at least a bit more normal, a bit less chaotic and should give them a much needed jolt. The defense is what it is, INJURED. The offense was in flux, may still be, but this game is right in front of them and might be the last time Ray Lewis & Ed Reed walk on to the field at M&T Bank Stadium as members of the team. Lots at stake, including the division, legacy and the future of Joe Flacco.
It's time to cancel the noise and shrink the Giants down to size.
