Glenn and TJ Rives Talk Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers sideline reporter TJ Rives joined the Glenn Younes show to talk about the 2013 Buccaneers.
In a contract year for Josh Freeman, Glenn asked if this is the year he makes the leap to become a franchise quarterback. "He is betting on himself big time in terms of this season." He went on to say, "The guy has got great talent…the real question mark for him has been his consistency." He talked about what Freeman has to do to get a new contract. "It's completely up to him. If he plays well he will be the franchise quarterback here and they will have to pay him."
Glenn then asked if the Bucs have enough talent around Freeman for the Bucs to play well this season. "The Buccaneers should not have problems putting points on the board."
T.J. then talked about the injury status of new Buccaneer Darelle Revis, "We got Revis coming off a season ending injury with the Jets and we probably won't see much of him this preseason." "Look he's a veteran and when he's physically right he is the premiere shutdown corner in the NFL." TJ said that Revis hasn't participated in any 7-on-7's or 11-on-11's but says the Bucs are "bringing him along slowly and pointing to the opening game at the Meadowlands against his former team."
