Glen Burnie Man Accused Of Stabbing Man Outside Bar Faces Multiple Charges
GLEN BURNIE, Md. (WJZ)— A Glen Burnie man faces multiple charges after he's accused of stabbing someone outside a local bar.
The incident happened just after midnight on Sunday outside of Crossroads Tavern located in the 7300-block of Ritchie Highway.
Police found a 50-year-old man suffering from apparent stab wounds to his upper body.
The victim says he was in the parking lot near a Harley Davidson motorcycle when Brian Scott Smith, 45, left the bar and accused him of damaging his bike.
Police say Smith then stabbed him before fleeing the scene on his motorcycle.
A short time later, Smith wrecked his motorcycle in the area of Birch Avenue and Magnolia Avenue.
The weapon believed to have been involved in the incident was recovered from the crash scene by officers.
Smith is charged with attempted second-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, along with related DWI offenses.
The victim of the assault was transported to Shock Trauma for treatment of serious injuries.
