George Huguely To Be Sentenced For Cockeysville Native Yeardley Love's Killing On Thursday
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WJZ)-- It's less than 24 hours until George Huguely learns his fate. The former University of Virginia lacrosse player faces more than two decades in prison for killing Cockeysville native Yeardley Love.

WJZ has learned that the judge has received letters from both sides of the case about how the tragedy has impacted their lives.
George Huguely, from Chevy Chase, has been locked up since February, convicted of second-degree murder in the death of his ex-girlfriend Yeardley Love.
"I wish we weren't put in that situation, to make that judgment. I wish none of it ever happened," juror Ian Glomsky said.
Jurors made the difficult decision to recommend a 26-year prison sentence after hearing how Huguely broke into Love's off-campus apartment, then beat her to death in a drunken rage.
"We all did not think that the killing was premeditated," Glomsky said. "We don't think that he went there with the purpose of killing Yeardley Love."
Since the verdict, Huguely has been denied a new trial.
"There are no winners in this case," the prosecutor said.
Prosecutors tell WJZ Thursday's formal sentencing will include victim impact letters, letters in support for Huguely and letters from a probation officer.
Yeardley Love's mother has spoken about the tragedy only once.
"My daughter was murdered almost two years ago at the University of Virginia by an out-of-control lacrosse player with a violent past," Sharon Love said. "Our lives will never be the same."
Recently, Sharon Love filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against her daughter's killer.
That sentencing hearing will get underway at 1 p.m. on Thursday. Prosecutors tell WJZ he expects the judge to make his final ruling later in the day.
