Funeral Set For Silver Spring Infant
SILVER SPRING, Md. (AP) -- A funeral is set for an infant believed to have been killed by her brother in Silver Spring.
The Archdiocese of Washington says a funeral Mass for Larissa Yanes will be held Thursday at St. Camillus Catholic Church in Silver Spring.
The infant's 14-year-old brother Jonathan Aguiluc has been charged as an adult with his sister's murder. Montgomery County police say the Larissa's mother left her with the teenager while she went to work. Police say the mother found the girl unresponsive Friday morning and took her to a hospital, where the infant was pronounced dead.
Police say Augiluc told detectives that he beat his sister and she started crying. Police say he then covered her mouth and nose until she stopped.
The funeral is not open to the press.
