Number 5:Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III Sign
The first two quarterbacks taken in this year's draft signed to their respective teams. Robert Griffin III signed a 4-year 21.1 million dollar deal with the Washington Redskins. Andrew Luck signed a 4-year 22 million dollar deal with the Indianapolis Colts.
Number 4: Jeremy Lin Signs With The Houston Rockets
Former New York Knicks Point Guard, Jeremy Lin, decided to sign with the Houston Rockets after the Knicks decided not to match the three year- 25 million dollar deal the Rockets offered Lin. The Rockets introduced Lin in a press conference on Thursday.
Number 3: The Orioles Roller Coaster Week
The Orioles started off the week losing 19-7 to the Minnesota Twins, and so far have come out of the All-Star break with a losing record. However, the Orioles managed to split their series with the Twins and remain in second place in the AL East and only a half a game back from the Detroit Tigers in the Wild Card Race.
Number 2: Ray Rice Signs Long Term Deal
On Monday, Ravens Running Back Ray Rice signed a 5-year year deal, reportedly worth 40 million dollars, with 25 of it guaranteed. The deal came minutes before the NFL deadline to sign franchise tagged players.
Number 1: Ed Reed Rants
Ravens Safety Ed Reed continues to be unhappy with the Ravens and his lack of a new deal, and recently said to Jason LaCanfora that the Raven's "won't get me cheap" and refused to give a definitive answer on whether or not he will hold out and refuse to go to Training Camp next week. Reed stands to make 7.2 million dollars this year.
