Freightliner Adding Jobs At Hagerstown Dealership
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Freightliner truck dealership near Hagerstown says an expansion will create about 30 jobs.
A dealership official told The Herald-Mail Monday that the business is adding a second location near its current site with a bigger parts, service and sales center.
Service Director Daniel Stine says ground will be broken Sept. 18, with completion expected in June. He says that when the new complex opens, the current location may become a body shop for large- and medium-duty trucks.
Stine says many truck owners are shopping for new vehicles after holding onto older models for years.
The business currently has 52 employees.
